Who We Are

IMPERA-TEX GmbH (“IMPERA-TEX”, “we”, “us”) is responsible for the personal data described in this policy, as the data controller. Our company details are listed on this page.

For any question about your personal data, or to use your rights, email [email protected]. We reply within one month.

We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).

What We Collect

We only collect what you give us and what is technically needed to run the website:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, and optionally your company, phone number and country, the topic you choose, your message, and any files you upload or link to.
  • Quote requests: your name, email address, and optionally your company, phone number, country, delivery country, target delivery date and message, together with the products, quantities, sizes, colours and customisation you ask about, plus any files (such as tech packs, size charts or artwork) you upload or link to.
  • Your quote list: the products you add are kept only in your own browser (local storage under the name it-quote-list) until you send your request or remove them. We receive them only when you send the request.
  • Emails and calls: whatever you choose to tell us when you contact us directly, including files you send.
  • Orders: the details needed to produce, invoice and deliver your goods, such as billing and delivery addresses and your specifications. These are agreed in your quotation.
  • Technical data: your IP address and browser details, recorded with your session and in our server logs, and used to keep the website secure and to stop abuse of our forms.

Only if you accept them in our cookie banner, we also use:

  • Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.), to count visits and see which pages are used.

These tools record how you use our website, such as the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser and your approximate location. We do not build profiles ourselves and we do not make automated decisions about you.

Please don’t send us sensitive personal data (such as health information) through our forms. If your files contain personal data of other people (for example names for embroidery), you are responsible for having the right to share it with us for production.

Who We Share It With

We never sell your personal data. We share it only where needed for the purposes above:

  • Our production partners: the manufacturers in our network in Kosovo, Albania, Türkiye and other production markets receive your product specifications and files and, where needed, your name and company, to prepare your quotation and produce your order.
  • Delivery partners: carriers and freight forwarders receive the delivery details for your order.
  • Service providers who run our website and email for us (hosting, email delivery), under contracts that bind them to protect your data and use it only on our instructions.
  • Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.), which delivers our website and protects it from attacks: every request to the site passes through its network, including your IP address and browser details.
  • Professional advisers (accountants, lawyers) and authorities, where the law requires it or to establish or defend legal claims.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile, which tells people from bots when you send our contact or quote form: it checks signals from your browser and your IP address, without tracking cookies. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping our forms free of spam, Art. 6(1)(f).
  • Analytics and advertising providers, only with your consent: Google receive the usage data their tools collect on our website, as described above, and may transfer it to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Fonts: our typefaces are served from our own server, so no font provider receives your IP address.

AI assistant links: the “Ask AI” buttons in our footer open ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok, Claude or Google in a new tab with a question about IMPERA-TEX. Nothing is sent to these services unless you click, and what you then share with them is governed by their own privacy policies.

International Transfers

We are based in Germany and work with production partners in Kosovo, Albania, Türkiye and other production markets, and with service providers that may process data in other countries. Where personal data leaves the European Economic Area for a country without an adequacy decision from the European Commission, we protect it with appropriate safeguards such as the Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or rely on the transfer being necessary for the quotation or contract you asked for (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR).

You can ask us for more information about these safeguards at [email protected].

How Long We Keep It

  • Messages and quote requests that don’t lead to an order, with any files uploaded with them: deleted automatically 24 months after our last contact about them.
  • Your quote list in your browser: until you send your request, remove the products or clear your browser’s site data.
  • Orders, invoices and related correspondence: kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires, then deleted.
  • Session data (including your IP address and browser details): deleted automatically after the session expires, 120 minutes after your last visit.
  • Server logs: kept for a short period for security, then deleted by our hosting provider.
  • Analytics and advertising data: kept by the providers for the periods set in our accounts with them; the cookies themselves stay in your browser for the durations listed in our Cookie Policy.

If you ask us to delete your data earlier, we will, unless we must keep it by law or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy
  • Correct data that is wrong or incomplete
  • Have your data deleted
  • Restrict how we use your data
  • Receive the data you gave us in a portable format
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interests
  • Withdraw any consent you have given, at any time

To use these rights, email [email protected]. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. Using your rights is free.

You can also complain to a data protection authority: the authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA), or you can contact the authority in the country where you live or work. We would appreciate the chance to sort out your concern first.

How We Protect It

The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Quote requests and messages are stored in a database that only signed-in members of our team can access, our forms are protected against automated abuse, and we give access to personal data only to people who need it for their work.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Children

Our services are for businesses, public institutions and professional buyers. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes to This Policy

We update this policy when our website or our use of personal data changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to you, we will tell you before it takes effect where we can.
